Audition Fee

It is $25 to reserve your spot to audition. This fee must accompany every Audition Registration form. On the submission page of the form there is a link to complete this payment. Please read and follow the instructions carefully!

If accepted, the $25 audition fee will go towards the student's tuition.

This fee is non-refundable.

 

Audition Excerpts

All auditioning members are required to prepare a set list of excerpts, scales and a solo piece.

Youth Philharmonic auditions require sight-reading.

UPDATED 4/21:

  • We will no longer require sight-reading for Concert Orchestra auditions.
  • Excerpts may be played at Quarter Note = 100.
  • Violinists auditioning may play the top OR bottom line at E - first beat of F in Anvil's Chorus.

What Group to Audition For

The SCPYO is made up of four orchestras of increasing technical ability, beginning with the Prelude Orchestra, and rising in age and ability levels through the Concert, Symphonic, and Youth Philharmonic orchestras.
