The Symphonic Orchestra is the SCPYO’s intermediate full orchestra for musicians with 3-5 years playing experience. It performs unabridged pieces of standard orchestral repertoire, as well as some advanced level arrangements.
The Symphonic Orchestra meets from 1:15 to 2:45 p.m. at the UofSC School of Music.
Symphonic Orchestra auditions require a set list of excerpts, scales and a solo piece. Please review your instrument requirements listed below. For any questions email SCPYO@scphilharmonic.com.
Excerpts: Please review all excerpts for your instrument. Not all excerpts may be asked for in the audition.
Scale Requirement: One-quarter note per scale degree, quarter note=80
