We are committed to you and to our community.
When we cannot be together in the concert hall, or at a performance with our friends and family, we go back to our core values and commitments.
We are committed to supporting the musicians, patrons, educators, and staff who make up our Philharmonic family.
We are committed to educating young people through music education and music appreciation programs.
And, for over 56 years, the SC Philharmonic has remained committed to enriching the lives of people in our community through music – whether in the auditorium, in the hospital, on the street, or via live-stream - wherever we need to be.
On March 14th we adapted our concert to be a free, live stream performance so music lovers throughout the country and world could enjoy our concert in the safety and comfort of their homes. From Columbia to Kenya, people watched the SC Philharmonic perform via live-stream, and plans are already underway for future free, live-streamed performances, for all to enjoy.
To provide the SC Philharmonic with the financial footing to serve our community with performances like this, two SC Philharmonic Board Members established a $65,000 matching gift challenge.
Since this match was originally established, additional Philharmonic friends stepped up to show their support making the $65,000 match a $73,000 match!
This generous match will help close the $160,000 shortfall we have incurred this year and ensure that we will continue to provide our community with music and education programs.
