Annual Fund

10,000 Matching Gift Challenge for gifts made by December 31, 2020

It is with the utmost enthusiasm that the SC Philharmonic will be together for the 2020/2021 season.

This season is dedicated to the Midlands’ spirit of resilience, hope, and community as we navigate these unprecedented times. In addition to our concerts presented to reduced, socially distanced audiences at the Koger and streamed online, our Youth Orchestras, the pride of our education programs, is continuing to flourish. We understand how important it is for our aspiring musicians to safely pursue their dreams and passions, and we are doing our best to make it happen.

The key to overcoming this challenging time is support from dedicated friends like you! Your donation is crucial to maintaining the momentum we have established so that we can continue to grow and adapt to our changing world.

Please make a contribution to the SC Philharmonic today – and if you are able to make your gift by December 31st, it will be matched 1:1 by an anonymous Philharmonic Friend.

The annual fund is the cornerstone of the SC Philharmonic’s fundraising efforts. It provides vital support for every piece of the Philharmonic puzzle - from the concerts on stage, to educational outreach programs in the community, and even the paper in the copier machine. Simply put, your contribution, combined with the support of others, makes music possible in the Midlands.

Did you know the SC Philharmonic:

  • Educates over 5,000 young people and at-risk youth through education and outreach programs
  • Presents over 60 performances throughout the Midlands annually
  • Performs a variety of concerts at Prisma Health locations
  • Along with other nonprofit arts organizations, generates an economic impact of $56,255,506 for the Greater Columbia area
  • Receives only 20% of our budget from concert ticket sales

When we cannot be together in the concert hall, or at a performance with our friends and family, we go back to our core values and commitments.

We are committed to supporting the musicians, patrons, educators, and staff who make up our Philharmonic family.

We are committed to educating young people through music education and music appreciation programs.
