Lipsitt to Begin Philharmonic's
"Magnificent Seven" Season  

COLUMBIA , S.C. – The South Carolina Philharmonic has named Robin Georgion as its development director.

Georgion’s responsibilities include directing and implementing the annual strategic campaign for personal giving, corporate sponsorships, special events, planned giving, grant writing and donor stewardship.

She comes to the SCP after six years in development with the Atlanta Opera and, more recently, as associate director of annual giving at Eastern Kentucky University.

A Spartanburg native, Georgion says she is glad to return to her home state . She earned a BA of Fine Arts with an emphasis in music from Arizona State University in Tempe, Ariz. and is a classically-trained double bassist.
