Seventh Golfing with the Phil tees off Sept. 28

The South Carolina Philharmonic is calling for teams of four to tee off at Golfing with the Phil on Monday, Sept. 28, 2015 at The Members Club at Woodcreek in Elgin – bringing crucial support for its programs.


Teams from across the Midlands can raise money for the S.C. Phil at the seventh version of the event, presented by grand sponsor Terminix. Golfing with the Phil raised a record $27,000 to support the orchestra last year.

Event co-chairs Tom Fortson and Mike Kelly welcome back McDaniels Automotive Group as the gold sponsor this year, and Any Lab Test Now, Bank of America, BB&T Boyle-Vaughn Insurance and Foreign Academics as silver sponsors.

The captain’s choice tournament begins with a 11 a.m. shotgun start, but golfers may register and enjoy lunch from Doc’s BBQ starting at 10 a.m. Additional food from of Blue Marlin Steaks & Seafood will be available on the course, and free beverages from Budweiser and Pepsi will be available throughout the day. A post-round dinner is provided by 116 Espresso & Wine Bar at the closing awards ceremony.

Lunch, dinner, range balls, 18 holes of golf, and a cart are included in the $500 per team entry fee. Register a team and sponsor a hole for $600. Single players may register for $125.
