Tasting Notes wine and food celebration to raise funds for S.C. Phil

Tasting Notes is once again pairing diverse wines and Midlands restaurants to raise money for the South Carolina Philharmonic on Monday, March 24, 2014 at the State Museum from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

After a sold-out debut last year, Tasting Notes expects to attract 500 wine and food lovers from throughout the Midlands. Guests will enjoy sampling more than 50 fine wines from around the world while tasting a tempting array of fresh, epicurean delights from Midlands’ restaurants. Guests can purchase the wine they've tasted that evening and bid on specialty wines in the silent auction. 

Restaurants providing food selections include 116 Espresso & Wine Bar, Ally & Eloise Bakeshop, Bourbon Columbia, Blue Marlin Steaks & Seafood, EarthFare - A Healthy Supermarket, First Citizens Café, Gervais & Vine, Hudsons Classic Catering, The Melting Pot, Miyo's, M. Cafe, M. Fresh, M. Vista, Ms. B's Southern Kitchen, Motor Supply Co. Bistro, The Oak Table, Pearlz Oyster Bar, Ristorante Divino, Thirsty Fellow Pizzeria & Pub, Tombo Grille, and Travinia Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar.

The lively sounds of the Reggie Sullivan Quartet will lend to the atmosphere. Tasting Notes also features a silent auction and the finale of Painted Violins 2014. Guests may take a break outside if they choose, where The Cigar Box will sell cigars in a special lounge area.  

Southern Valet will provide complimentary valet parking and, for guests who need the service, Checkered Yellow Cabs will be on site to provide safe rides home.

Tasting Notes is a business casual event. Tickets cost $75 per person and can be purchased on SCPhilharmonic.com/TastingNotes or by calling SCP Audience Services at 803.254.PHIL (7445).
