Golfing with the Phil 5 tees off Nov. 4

The South Carolina Philharmonic is hitting the greens to raise some green with the fifth annual Golfing with the Phil event Monday, Nov. 4, 2013 at The Members Club at Woodcreek in Elgin.

Event co-chairs Tom Fortson and Mike Kelly invite teams of four from across the Midlands to raise money for the SCP by enjoying a fall day outdoors, brought to you by gold sponsor Terminix. The event is also presented by silver sponsors BB&T Boyle-Vaughan Insurance and Elliott Davis.

Though the captain’s choice tournament begins with a 12:15 p.m. shotgun start, golfers may register starting at 11 a.m. and enjoy lunch from Doc’s BBQ. Additional food, plus beer and wine will be available throughout the day on the course. A post-round dinner is provided by 116 Espresso & Wine Bar at the closing awards ceremony.

Lunch, dinner, range balls, 18 holes of golf, and a cart are included in the $500 per team entry fee. Register a team and sponsor a hole for $600. Single players may register for $125. All proceeds will benefit the SCP’s 50th season educational programs and Masterworks Series.
