SCP seeking new "Music for a Cause" partners

The South Carolina Philharmonic is seeking applicants who wish to be “Music for a Cause” partner charities during the 2013/2014 season, which is the orchestra’s 50th.

Begun during the 2010/2011 season, “Music for a Cause” partners the SCP with a diverse, non-arts group of fellow non-profit 501(c)3 organizations from Richland and Lexington counties. The program enables the seven partners to raise money and awareness for their causes among potential supporters who might not be familiar with their programs.
Interested applicants may review 2013/2014 concert dates and download an application on this page. The deadline to apply is Friday, March 29, 2013.

Partners are recognized in publicity and advertising for their assigned concert, are offered a display table in the lobby and given the opportunity to insert information into that concert’s program book without charge. They are also able to sell tickets as a fundraiser, keeping 75% of the proceeds for their organization.

The seven partners for the 2012/2013 season are: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Columbia, Glenforest School, Harvest Hope, Humane Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals – S.C., Jubilee Academy, Rolling Readers, and St. Lawrence Place.
