S.C. Arts Commission gives operating support

The South Carolina Philharmonic was awarded a $11,732 operating support grant for fiscal year 2012 by the S.C. Arts Commission.

“This funding from the S.C. Arts Commission gives our operating budget significant help and we’re glad to be able to leverage the state funding to help it go even farther,” said SCP Executive Director Rhonda Hunsinger.

Local residents can see how the Arts Commission grant and local funds benefit the SCP by visiting www.SCPhilharmonic.com to preview the 2011/2012 “it’s BIG!” season, which includes five remaining concerts in the Masterworks Series.
