2008/2009 Recital Series
"Where in the Midlands is Morihiko?” is a seven-recital series designed to increase exposure and audience base for the SCP's 2008/2009 45th anniversary season.
The Pierrine & Hootie Johnson Fund, through the Central Carolina Community Foundation, provided the funding for the CCCF’s grant, which allows Maestro Nakahara and small ensembles of SCP musicians to go out into the community to perform free, one-hour public recitals in high-traffic places around the Midlands once during the week leading up to each 2008/2009 Master Series concert.
2008/2009 Locations
Recital Series concerts begin at noon unless otherwise noted.
- Sept. 12, 2008: Palmetto GBA, Columbia (quartet of two flutes, clarinet and cello)
- Oct. 21, 2008: First Citizens Bank Park on Main & Lady streets, Columbia (brass quintet)
