ALL APPLICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO DEMONSTRATE EITHER U.S. CITIZENSHIP OR A LEGAL ELIGIBILITY TO ACCEPT EMPLOYMENT WITH THE SC PHILHARMONIC. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS WITH F-1 VISAS WHO DO NOT HAVE WORK PERMITS SHOULD CHECK WITH THEIR ACADEMIC ADVISOR AND THE INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS OFFICE REGARDING CURRICULAR PRACTICAL TRAINING.
The South Carolina Philharmonic is a per-service orchestra. The 2008/2009 season will include up to 43 services.
Per service rates are:
- Section Strings $60.00
- Associate Principal Strings & Non-Principal Winds $66.00
- Senior Assistant Concertmaster & Principal Musicians $75.00
Musicians residing more than 35 miles from Columbia, South Carolina receive mileage allowances.
